W e've had so much fun catching up with new and existing customers at Newbury Showground, where for two days this October the newest products for the Events industry were out on display. The Show gave us the chance to demonstrate our newest features to everyone that stopped by and to show visitors just how easy it is to manage your rental business in the cloud.
The Latest Event Products
The Showman’s Show itself was a huge success - we got the chance to see some of the coolest and newest events industry products and entertainment. From giant inflatables, fluffy camels, huge LED screens and gorgeous contemporary furniture, there was something for all events on display. TheAirBag.net even had a massive free fall air-bag installation, perfect for adrenaline junkies. We, however, didn’t have a go! There was also a great mix of practical electrical and generator solutions, plus lots of eco-friendly temporary structures, ideal for festivals or pop-up events. Netherlands based Flexotels told us a little bit about their foldable short-stay structures, which squash down to barely knee height!
Campfire Sessions were also in full swing throughout the two days, which were being ran in a cosy, fairy-light lit tipi. Its second year at the show, the Sessions returned after they proved popular in 2016, packed with industry advice and panels. We stopped by a couple of interesting talks to hear speakers share their varied industry knowledge. Topics included event start-up advice to the latest legal legislation.
While we were at the show, we found some time to catch up with our customers - it was great to see some of them on stands of their own! We caught up with Fonix, who have been using Current RMS for two years, beneath a huge display of their LED screens. We also popped by Gigloo to see their latest event loo solutions. Flying Hire absolutely blew us away with their custom steampunk generator, aptly decorated with a vintage style Flying Hire logo!
We also found the time to catch up with our friends at Ethix Management who have been using Current RMS for almost one year. They left us a glowing testimonial on film - take a watch below!
Our Very Busy Stand 70…
In amongst it all, we were busy demonstrating Current RMS on Stand 70. With tons of goody bags and jelly beans to give away, we had an absolute blast chatting with everyone that stopped by.
The show was a great opportunity to show off two of our newest features, Global Check-in and Discussion Templates, with both features enhancing key aspects of the rental process for the events industry. Discussion Templates allow you to customise any outbound communication from Current RMS, to ensure your company branding is always visible, whereas Global Check-in allows you to check kit back in all from one screen, even if it’s been assigned to different jobs.
