B ack for the fourth year running, we’re extremely excited to show all visitors to our booth what we’ve been working on since last year’s show and what they can expect to see in their Current RMS systems very soon.
Sneak peek of new features
We have a number of new features we’ve been working on for the past year including; our mobile scanning app, Temporary Containers and the first phase of our Purchasing module. All three features have been very highly requested by our users, so we’ve been working hard to get these features ready to show at InfoComm.
Scanning App
Our mobile scanning app, available on both iOS and Android devices, will allow users to book out and check-in their gear using the in-built camera in their phone or tablet to scan. Speeding up warehouse operations, the app will work as a companion to Current RMS, enabling users to allocate, prepare, book out and check-in their products without having to pair a barcode scanner to their mobile device. Plus, multiple people can work on jobs together with separate devices, as everything updates straightaway - handy, hey?
Temporary Containers
The next phase on from Serialized Containers, Temporary Containers gives users the ability to build up flight cases on a job-by-job basis with serialized, bulk and non-stock items - adding an extra layer of flexibility to warehouse operations.
Purchasing module
Our Purchasing module is about to be released in beta mode for all Current RMS users to enjoy. This exciting update will allow users to create purchase orders for sub-rented gear, services, such as freelance costs, and manual costs including parking fees or hotel costs. Helping users better plan budgets and logistics, the first phase of Purchasing will give users a full audit trail of their purchase history, while providing a unique number that can be used to track the order throughout its lifecycle.
